The IOSH Managing Safely certificate is a qualification aimed at managers and supervisors within virtually any industry who have health and safety responsibilities. The course is designed to give those attending all they need to know in order to manage health and safety within the workplace, covering key health and safety issues and also environment protection.
At ATC Risk Management, we run IOSH Managing Safely courses over 4 consecutive days, and aim to get delegates fully involved, having fun and learning by doing. We have found that this approach, as opposed to delegates being read to out of a textbook or having to suffer endless PowerPoint slides, gets people really thinking about what they're learning and gives them the confidence to put it into practice when back in the workplace, which indeed should be the whole purpose of a training course. This fun and interactive approach, along with running the course over consecutive days, means delegates are much more likely to absorb the information and remember it for the exam at the end, which is proven by our consistently high pass marks for our health and safety training courses.
The IOSH Managing Safely course covers the following elements:
Every delegate is also provided with a workbook to assist them both during and after the course.
At the end of the course, delegates are required to take a classroom-based assessment, and also complete a short workplace-based project which needs to be returned to us by post within 14 days of the course completion date. Those who successfully pass both of these assessments will be awarded the IOSH Managing Safely certificate.
