The 2-day SMSTS Refresher course is for delegates who have previously passed the full 5-day Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) course within the last five years and can provide proof of attendance. It aims to bring health and safety knowledge up to date, as well as giving a thorough overview of the legislative changes and their impact in the workplace. The course includes a wide range of topics, many building on the previous five-day course programme, as well as introducing new subjects.

Each delegate will be issued with the official ConstructionSkills workbook and supporting material to assist them both during and after the course - this material will contain information, guidance and forms to assist workers. The course is designed to be interactive, allowing delegates the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge with the support of the course tutor.
Our health and safety tutors are qualified and experienced professionals with a background in construction health and safety. All consultants hold professional membership of the chartered Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), a training qualification, and are registered CITB Construction Skills trainers.
The SMSTS Refresher course is delivered over two days. Delegates must attend both days.
At the conclusion of the course, delegates are required to undertake a short multiple choice assessment. Those who successfully complete the assessment are awarded the ConstructionSkills Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) Refresher Certificate.
